My husband told me that he had a mild case of diabetes but that it was nothing to worry about. Today when I looked in the fridge I saw some of those little insulin bottles. Was he lying to me? Does diabetes need to be severe to need insulin?

My cat was recently diagnosed with diabetes. He gets insulin injections twice a day. The vet recommended Purina DM. I would love to find a good dry & canned food that doesn't need a prescription & does not need to be purchased from my vet. Thanks for your help.

Last week, my 56 yo dad got diagnosed with diabetes type 2 with insulin dependency. For some reason, there was too much iron in his liver which lead to his pancreas not producing enough insulin.
