My sister is 24 and obese. Her doctor says she has developed a few signs of pre-diabetes. How can she lose weight in a way that will also get rid of pre-diabetes symptoms?? I am very worried about her, please help.
Wow, Susan. Thanks for your insensitive answer.

Portion control. Exercise. That would save her. Eat or drink no sugars, except special occasions.
More fiber. These are the top things to save her. Move more, eat less.

Live your whole life like a Diabetic Type 2 and you can almost eliminate the possibility of acquiring Diabetes.
Bad genes notwithstanding.

I’m a proponent of low-carb diets. You can still eat a good, hearty amount and lose weight. In addition to that, the carbs are what put a strain on our pancreas, so low-carb may allow that to rest, and allow a recovery.
Exercise is also very valuable, as it helps the muscles burn the excess glucose, and speeds up your metabolism to help with weight loss.
Good luck to you.
